In 2022 The Joy Labs received a SEMAC grant (Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council) to create a mural at the Winona Catholic Worker House (CW). In co-design sessions with CW guests and supporters, the design strayed from the international You Are Not Alone mural series with its more limited palette of yellow, black, white and gray. Instead, the group opted for a vibrant palette that represents the vitality, vibrancy and hospitality that is the hallmark of the CW.
